Passing and being crafty ||

Today is a good day becaaauuseeee, I passed my car theory test! Which is such a relief as I can start preparing for my practical test and hopefully pass quite soon and be able to drive my little car without having to have a 'over 21' with me, yaaaayy!

After getting home and cleaning out my fish tanks (exciting..) I got into a crafty mood and really wanted to change around my bedroom and do some new things..so I did, and thought I'd share them with anybody who would like to see:)

I bought a mirror (for a bargain £5!!) It is second hand but I don't really have a problem with 'pre-owned items' as some others may do, (apart from certain clothing items obviously..). It matches the rest of the furniture in my bedroom and I just love it, because it's a bit different but so simple at the same time!

But before I start I thought I'd just show what I'm wearing this evening as it's extremely wintery and snug!

The jumper is one my sister gave me (from Store 21 I think.. but I have no idea of the price). It's a lovely christmassy reddy/brown colour and hangs slightly off the shoulders depending on how you're stood. I wear a vest top underneath as It would be a bit chilly without one! The leggins were bought from boohoo.com last year (not sure of the price either:() I love them so much and literally love wearing them at christmas as they festive but not over-festive and I can get away with wearing them any time of the year:)

My hair today was kind of straightened (it was quickly done this morning at an early start of 8am as my test was at 10am but not fully as I don't really think dead-straight hair really suits me as I have quite a large face:( which I hate), and tied half up just to keep it off my face. I actually tied it half up once I got home to keep it out of my face when putting the things up in my bedroom:)
Also the weather was all rainy today which makes my hair go crazy frizzy, especially the top part so this hair style kind of restricts that from happening.

This is half of my bedroom. I made some changes by taking down a heart shaped photo holder thing I've had up for years as I was just getting bored of it and I thought it looked a bit scruffy as I had soo many photos on it! To make a bit of a change I walked up to the local shop (in the rain!) to get some string - but ended up with white shoelaces as they didn't sell balls of string - and just simply pinned it from one end of my wall to the other, draping it off picture hooks that were already in the wall. I didn't want the string to be draped in a pattern, I preferred it to be more randomish if you get iiittt?

The pegs I used were old ones my Mum stopped using (probably after plastic ones were invented hahahaahaaaa...) some were wet from being outside so I just dried them with my hair dryer on the highest heat for a couple of minutes. The whole thing I am really pleased with and it just adds a bit of character to my bedroom and it was so simple and cheap to do! The best thing is that it can be taken down easily (as I get very bored with the decor in my bedroom very quickly..) and the pictures can be changed just by unpegging them and updating the photo!
I would recommend this sort of decoration for anybody looking for something different and with a creative mind! It may look good draped around a mirror or a wardrobe?
The possibilities are endless!;)

P.S I appologise for the major embarressing baby photo of me above!

Thanks for reading!

Christmas Haul! ||

I'm feeling SO christmassy today it's ridiculous! I went shopping with my friend and ended up pretty much just buying christmas items, so I thought I'd share them with all you christmas lovers out there! :)

All the prices of items I will put at the end.

CHRISTMAS JUMPERRR! I cannot believe I bought one but I didn't want them to all sell out like last year:( It has a penguin with a christmas hat on and the white bits are sooooo soft, it's lush and I just love it! If you're planning on buying one from Primark like this one then get a smaller size! As I didn't actually try mine on, I just guessed but bought a smaller size than usual and it fits perfectly! They are quite big, but snug :)

This woolly scarf is so thick and snug. The baubles on the bottom are nice and festive as well:) It was a massive bargain and came in lots of different styles and colours.

These socks and pajama bottoms were both bought today:) The socks are the same as the ones in my previous 'Primark Haul' blog post apart from they just have a different pattern on them (the fluffy white bit is tucked in the trousers). The patterned pajamas are so comfy and warm! I will probably end up wearing them more around the house than in bed!

This photo does not do these boots any justice what so ever but they are actually really nice! They are lined with fluff inside and were similiar to ones I saw in another shop..just half the price!

This is one of my favourite things bought today! It's from Boots and is so festive and cute I just couldn't resist! I'll probably start to wear it to work around christmas time as we have to dress up christmassy (not that I'm complaining!) and I'll probably end up wearing it everyday up until Christmas. I just never want to take it off - it's too cute!

This little festive cup is for holding hot drinks, so I bought it as I'm literally living off hot chocolate at the moment! It was very cheap compared to some you see in shops and it's so cute!

Thanks for reading:)

Cake in a mug ||

I found the most PERFECT thing to eat on a cold wintery day when it's raining and cold outside and all you want to do is drink hot chocolate and read social media....

Cake in a muuuuuggg!

I've heard about them and apperently theres a recipe for one in Alfie Deye's 'The Pointless Book' and I reaaallly wanted to try one!
I used this recipe...

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/food/article-1254878/How-make-cake-cup.html

Following the recipe above I actually doubled all of the ingredients because I was making two :)

Firstly you have to mix self-raising flour, sugar and chocolate powder together, (I used hot chocolate powder). I decided to mix in a bowl and then pour the ingredients into the mugs once it was all finished just to make it a bit easier, as some people have said that mugs are too small to properly mix the ingredients together causing it not to rise properly:(

The mixture will start to become much more runny and cake-like once you have added the eggs, milk and oil. As you had the eggs first the mixture does do very hard and into a bowl but the milk and oil make it the correct texture :)
(Make sure there are lots of air bubbles when mixing!)

I then poured the mixture evenly into two mugs. It doesn't really look like there is enough in each and I didn't really think it would work, but they will rise even if only half the mug has mixture in it - if you use self-raising flour! (Which isent stated on the website..)

They then go into the microwave together for four minutes on high. The recipe I followed said to use a 1,000 w microwave but ours is only 700 w so I put them on 'high' for four minutes and then added an extra two minutes afterwards just to make sure they were cooked:) You can use a little metal skewer to poke into the middle of them to make sure they are cooked, (the skewer will come out clean if they are cooked without any cake stuck to it).

Watch a bit of Youtube for six minutes....;)

And the end product looked like this!
This one rose a lot better than the other, mainly because it's a slightly shorter mug than the other one so it's easier to see..
I would advise to definitely use larger mugs when making these as a normal sized mug/cup would just make a huge mess, which means less cake to eat!

I would totally recommend making one as they are lovely to eat warm or cold (but are very hot straight from the microwave!) and literally take about 10 minutes to make and cook! I had one for lunch and it was the only thing I needed to fill me up:)
Very christmassy and warm and just loveeely and different!
Have you made one before? Comment below with the flavours you have made as I'd love to make some different ones, maybe blueberry ones?

Thanks for reading!

Perfect Imperfections ||

I've been undecided for a while on whether to blog about this subject or not as for some it can be quite a sensitive topic and its not always the most comfortable thing to talk about, but I'm not even that sure many people read my posts but I thought I'd just give it a try:)

We all have imperfections, NOBODY is perfect (not even Harry Styles - believe it or not!;)) and for some it's these areas of ourselves that we constantly feel embarressed, paranoid or anxious about.
People are always drumming into us that we need to feel confident about ourselves and love our image no matter how we look, what clothe size we are, or generally what others think about us, but as most people realise, this is not as easily said than done.

For me, I could easily sit down and write a lengthy list on all the things I don't like about myself and then be stuck onto what I actually like about myself, which is really quite sad and in some ways very wrong. Society these days is very much pushed towards 'good-looking' people and what they think people like and find attractive. The truth is, everybodies opinion on what is attractive and what isent is very different. If it wasent, everybody would look the same, and life would be extremely boring!

Personally I have one area of my body which I have never felt comfortable with for as long as I can remember. I feel constantly self-conscious about it every single day and always have a thought in the back of my mind that 'everybody is staring at me,' (when really the truth is they probably have much better things to be doing than looking at me!) and sometimes it does get me quite down.
Unfortunately for me this area I am so conscious about is smack-bang in the centre of my face - my nose - so theres no hiding it really! I have what is known as a 'Roman nose' (so I've been told anyway..) meaning it has a quite obvious bump right in the middle on the bridge. From face on it's not really that noticeable but my side profile makes it extremely obvious and I have had a lot of people through school and at work etc asking me 'were you born like that or did you break it?' which doesn't give my self-confidence much of a boost but as much as it embarresses me to answer I always give the same 'I was born like it!' I always try and answer in a light hearty tone as if to imply that I couldn't care less what they thought, (even if it does hurt inside that people do really notice and my constant of fear of 'people are staring at it' is actually true) and sometimes it does work as I never hear that same person mention anything about it to me again.

I believe everybody has an area they hate about themselves whether its a part of their body, their weight, freckles, skin, or any type of blemish or 'imperfection' as they become to be called even if you can't physically see what it may be, theres always something and nobody is alone in these feelings they have about themselves.
If like me you have a physical thing you hate then this can be quite a lot harder to be confident and happy with as its not something you can just change overnight or get medicine to help cure. It's a part of you and who you are. I have been told a many of times that theres nothing wrong with my nose and I don't need a nose job or even 'you wouldn't be you without that nose' but none of these things ever made me feel any better about myself, the only thing I find that makes me feel confident and happy with myself is the days I wake up, look in the mirror and just smile at who I am and be happy with all the other areas of myself which I never have anytime to appreciate because I am too busy worrying about my nose. This doesn't make you vain to point out your perfections and say outloud that you think you look pretty today, it's all part of making you who you are and not letting your perfect imperfections get you down.
So instead of thinking 'I have a huge ugly nose' I have become to think 'I do have a big ugly nose, but my eyes look amazing today - and my hair looks great too!'
For me this works and It has helped to stop me worrying, even though the constant self-conscious side of me is still there, everytime I feel like somebodies staring at me I'll just think 'it's probably because my hair looks great!'

I don't know if anybody really reads my blog posts, but if you are and you have something you know you hate about yourself, comment below with what it is followed by something you love about yourself, just like I did above and just see how good it feels.

In the famous words of Taylor Swift 'SHAKE IT OFF!'

Primark Haul ||

Shopping happened!
It was in a lovely little town and even got a salted caramal cupcake from Costa (if you're near a Costa, get one! They are amaazzing!) it even looked amazing..

Anywaaaaay, I spent lots of money in Primark but loved everything I bought, even though I didn't really but that much... I was actually quite proud of myself as the shops were full of christmas jumpers and cute leggings with ginger bread men and snowmen on them..but I didn't buy any! They were completely resisted.
I've listed all the prices at the bottom:)

The first thing I bought was a cute little pillow to go in my car, as the colours match and I just thought the buttons on it were just nice:) I may have to go back and get another one just because I love it so much!

(Sorry for the overload of tartan;))

I knew I would end up buying something woolly and fluffy but I only actually bought one thing, which was this cardigan! It was a bargain and is soo comfy, warm and fluffy:) They had it in different colours but I thought this was a little different, and they didn't have it in white which I kind of wanted :(

Sooocccksss fluffy socks are the bessssssst! I bought the snuggliest pair I could find, which are also festive at the same time:)

Cushions and pillows are one of my favourite things..my bed is covered in them! But I couldn't resist this white fluffy one as it literally is the softest thing ever.

I also bought some felted coat-hangers. Sounds boring..but they are a nice minty-green colour and grippy so clothes - especially woollen items - won't slip off! So that was a good find..

Pumpkins and everything cosy ||

The cold weather has definitely hit the UK, and I'm kind of loving it!
I've been having honey on toast for breakfast and soup for lunch which just makes me feel so autumnal and warm :)
The woolly jumpers have taken over my wardrobe and I'm going shopping tomorrow for even more so I may post a 'woolly haul' sometime soon to show anybody whose interested, heheee.

Is it too early for Halloween stuff yet? I have to dress up for work on Halloween and last year I went full-out and did hair, makeup, and home-made costumes (with the help of my sister) but this year I've just ordered a halloween top offline as I'm on an early shift and won't have time to do all the makeup in the morning :(
It's alllll about the pumpkins this year as I have also bought a tiny one for my bedroom! I haven't carved it as I think they look nice just as they are, I'll probably carve it nearer the actual date. I wanted to get loads but I resisted..

Whats everyones favourite things about this time of year? I think mine is the fact that everything just feels so much cosier and pretty. Like clothing, fleece blankets and fairy lights!
Oh and having warm things to eat and drink like soup and hot chocolate after coming inside from the cold ahhhh it's just amazing. My bedroom is just full of fairy lights at the moment as they also help everything to feel so much more cosy and festive.

Enjoy this lovely time of year everybody! And comment below with your favourite things about Autumn if you liiiike :)

Parcels in the post and new goodies!

Helloooooo!
To anybody wanting cosmetics or anything of that sort I totally recommend Superdrug! I find it's so much cheaper than similiar shops such as Boots! It's also the only shop at the moment selling Zoella products:)

I ordered a few bits online as I couldn't get into town, I didn't get a lot but I think the bits I did get are exactly what I needed a soo much of a bargain! Also on the Superdrug website you only have to spend £10+ to get free-delivery - always a bonus!
Below I've included pictures of the bits I bought and what I'm going to use them for, juuuust incase anybodies interested..:)

The first two are a Barry M concealer pen and Barry M brush. The concealer is Almond No2. I tend to get red blemishes around my nose from spots and grease marks so I wanted something that could easily and subtly cover it up without it being obvious I've put anything on it. It comes in three different shades but almond is the one which best fits the colour of my skin, (I am very pale and don't tan at all!:(). I tried this straight away after opening it to make sure I bought the right shade and it worked so well! I only needed a tiny bit to cover the marks and the Barry M brush is really soft and blends the concealer into the skin so well! Pleaaasseeeed!

The second item is Zoella body lotion. Its to be used on dry skin after showering. I used it today after work on my legs and it makes your skin so soft and it smells lovely! It's very creamy and thick and you don't really need that much, so it should last a long time!:)
Feel free to comment with the Zoella products you have/want as I can't decide what to get next...the candle maybe?

I didn't buy these, they actually came as free samples in the box with my order :) I just thought I'd share them as they are actually really nice! The two Tresemme ones are shampoo and conditioner to use on your scalp to help repair and protect your hair. The other is a perfume tester and a magazine which is actually quite good to read with lots of tips on cosmetics etc, using the products sold at Superdrug.

Autumn and everything woollen ||

Autumns here!!
I've seen and read soo many blog posts about Autumn at the moment - it's making me soo super excited!
A lot of my friends think I'm weird because I enjoy this time of year more than summer, just the entire season from about October-February time is just so pretty and magical :)
Firstly the days get shorter meaning dark evenings, candles and fairy lights. Then it's Halloween and you can go out and buy pumpkins and just sit in the evening carving them and putting pretty little tea-lights in side them, (it's also mine and my boyfriends anniversary on the 31st October!). Also the weather starts getting colder and the whole atmosphere everywhere you go starts becoming christmassy and festive - the Tescos in my town has already started selling Christmas chocolate for example - and you can start buying new decorations and WOOLLEN clothing ahhh which is just my absolute favourite part!

When shopping with my Mum last Tuesday (see blog post 'Shopping Haul') I found soooo many christmas jumpers in Primark but literally forced myself not to buy one just yet! I like to get Halloween out of the way before I start thinking about christmassy stuff just as it does seem a bit early yet..
I definitely must buy one this year though, as last year by the time I got round to buying one, I couldn't find one I liked :(

As it's rainy and cold today in the UK I thought I'd show everyone the wintery clothing I have at the moment. Only two of these jumpers I bought this year, all the rest are from last year so might not even fit anymore! 100% certain I will buy many more this year..it's going to be woollen heaven in my wardrobe!

The snuggliest jumper of them allll!

One of my favourites, and a birthday present from my boyfriend :)

This the jumper I'm wearing today! It was a huuuuge bargain!

Sheeeeeep!

I have a lot more jumpers but I didn't want to bore everyone with pictures of my winter clothing...

I'll list where I got them and the prices below but I'm afraid I cannot remember all of the prices as I bought them last year:(

Molly

Curls and burnt fingers ||

Hellooooooo!

I woke up this morning with the biggest and frizziest hair eveerrrr. It got worse when I brushed it so ended up spending all morning with it all tied back in a bun (I hate my hair tied up :(). After lunch I started to try and style/tame it and thought I'd blog the 'before and afters' for anybody else with frizzy hair like me, this could be a possible solution for you to! I have also included the products I used which I will list at the bottom with prices and where I bought them:)

This is my hair before any proper styling and after I had brushed it, sprayed some Argan Oil got2b taming spray on it and had it tied up in a messy bun for a couple of hours. It was actually frizzier than it looks in this photo, believe me! You can also see my Andrew Barton curling wand which I have recently started to use to style my hair, as it makes a difference to having it straight all the time but takes about the same time to do as straightening.
I don't know why I decided to pull a fish face -_-

As my hair is very thick I start by tying the top bits up on the top of my head into either a pony tail or a bun. I usually do from just above my ears and upwards for the first section to tie back. This makes it a lot easier to curl the underneath of my hair and it also stops you from missing any bits and ending up with random straight pieces.

It's always important to protect your hair from the heat being used when styling especially with curling wands and straightners. I used Tresemme heat protector which I spray evenly over my all of my hair before starting, (protects up to 230 degrees).

This is the underneath of my hair half styled and half natural, just so you can see the difference! Once all of the underneath was curled I sprayed the whole lot with hairspray and do this throughout the styling with the different layers I style. This just helps to keep the all of it together and ensure each bit stays in place during the day. I normally end up doing my hair in 3-4 different sections.

I used Joey Essex hairspray to hold it all in place.
This is actually the first time I've ever bought/used a Joey Essex product but It was the cheapest-quality one in the shop and also doesnt make your hair feel crunchy or sticky in any way - it actually works quite well! I can't really tell its in my hair, and I have to use a lot to hold my hair in place. :)

The finished product looked like this :)
It didn't take too long to achieve, roughly an hour maybe a bit longer but I was stopping and starting and getting distracted by the T.V, and I was watching Youtube at the same time! If I was doing this before work etc it would probably take about 20-30 minutes, (like yesterday I styled quickly before my driving lesson, to then remember my instructors on holiday...)

P.S. Be careful because I burnt my fingers a lot on the wand :( They do come with a protective glove..but I lost it.

Shopping Haul!

Helloooo!

Today I thought I'd just show everybody what I bought yesterday when going shopping with my Mum:)

This is everything that I bought cosmetics-wise throughout the short time we were shopping for. I also purchased a fluffy and soft snuggy jumper for the winter-time which was a complete bargain!
(All prices of the products I will include at the bottom) xox

The first two products bought were from Superdrug. On the left is got2b beach matt texturising salt spray. This is used to give your hair a wavy and 'beachy' look by spraying a small amount onto your hair and then simply scrunching your hair with your hands until its the texture you would like it to be. When choosing which salt spray to buy I wanted one that didn't make your hair feel sticky or crunchy in any way - like a cheap hairspray might, for example. This one by got2b states on the back that it gives you the style without the crunch, so it was exactly what I was looking for. As my hair is fairly frizzy I thought this may help to keep it in place when drying it and make it more manageable. I am yet to try any of the products I have bought yet so who knows!

The second product is got2b weightless dry oil mist with Argan Oil.
Following yesterdays post I mentioned needing something to tame my frizzy hair, so after some research I decided to go with a product which contained Argon Oil as this apperently is good for your hair your hair and helps reduce the frizz when styling. It is used by spraying it evenly onto dry hair and then being massaged into the hair either with your hands or by simply brushing it in. Normal styling heat products can then be used over the top as it also helps protect it from high damaging heat levels, (straightners, curling wands, hair dryers etc). As I've recently purchased a curling wand I wanted something that would protect my hair from the heat and this seems perfect - as it also tames frizz!

This is just a cucumber face mask. I didn't intend on buying anything like this as I went in mainly for hair products but it was a bargain and I work in a restaurant so my face gets quite greasy. Hopefully this may heelllp:)

These eyelash curlers I got from Primark, believe it or not! My lashes are quite long but tend to stick outwards instead of upwards. I am going to use these before applying mascara and afterwards once it has dried to help make them curl upwards and look just generally nicier!

I bought these heart shaped fairy lights which I loooovveee! I've seen loads online which are just so expensive but these definitely were not! I have a corner in my bedroom above my T.V which needed lightening up, and these did the job perfectly:) I had them on last night and they look so lovely and dainty. There are fifteen of them and shine a yellowy-white colour.
A very good-buy!

Now last but definitely not least is my Zoella makeup bag! They come in two designs, the other is pink with a cute little Guinea Pig on it, (but I am not too keen on pink.. ). One of my main reasons to do my shopping this week at Superdrug was because of the Zoella products in store. I do follow Zoella's YouTube and blogs etc so I knew about the products launch and have had my eye on this makeup bag for a while! It is a very good size and fits a lot inside. At the moment I am using it to keep hairbands, purfume, eyelash curlers etc inside and it's a lovely bag to keep cosmetics together in one place. At first I didn't think they had them in the store but I soon found them down an aisle. They also had the products displayed around the tills, (I also may get the Zoella candle as it smelt lovveeeelly!) As I was paying for my products the lady behind the till told me that the brand has been flying off the shelves and they have to keep ordering more in, so I'm glad I managed to get one today.

One successful shopping trip! :)
