Shopping & Spending too much money||

Hello!
Hows everybody doing? The weather here in the UK is doing my head in. One minute its snowing and everything looks pretty and I just want to get home from work and take photos of it all, and then within a couple of hours its all melted :( It also keeps doing this horrible thing where you wake up and the sun is shining and everywhere is lit up and lovely, but then you step outside and it's FREEZING.
Not funny.

I went shopping the other day to 'buy a few tops' and came home with A LOT of full bags and a slightly empty bank account...

After asking on twitter if anybody would like to see what I bought, and getting a couple of 'favourites' I decided to show you all!
At the moment I'm trying to buy clothes I wouldn't normally buy like pretty tops and long tops that go with plain/patterned leggings. Only because when getting dressed on my days off I realise that my wardrobe is literally just full of thick fluffy jumpers, which isn't what I always what to wear - especially when the summer comes!

I will try and remember the prices of each item but i stupidly threw away the receipt when I got home :(

The first couple of items I bought were from New Look (which have a HUGE January sale going on right now so take time and remember to go in there if you're shopping!)

This top I loved as soon as I saw it. I love the floral summery pattern and that it's quite floaty and light to wear. I got it in a slightly bigger size than normal just so it wouldn't show my stomach too much. This was on the sale rail and reduced to £5 :)

From New Look I also purchased these boots! I'm a very boot-person (if thats even a thing..) and I would wear some type of boot all year round if I could! At the moment I only really have one pair of lace-up ankle boots which I practically live in so I wanted some a bit different just for the rest of these winter months. These are so comfy and quick and easy to put on and  were also in the sale for £14 and were the only ones on the shelf..and in my size - weird!

The patterned leggings above were my last buy from New Look. I spotted them on one of those freaky manikin dolls and loved them straight away! I knew I wanted to get some long plain tops so I thought these would be able to brighten up something like that. They were £17.99 :) The black dress/top was from Primark at a bargain £5 (I'm tempted to go back and buy a couple more in different colours). Something like this is a piece of clothing I would probably never look twice at which is why I decided to try it on and was pleasantly surprised! I don't know what you guys think (let me know in the comments :)) but I kind of like it as it's so simple. It doesn't have to be worn with patterned leggings either, you could just keep it simple and even wear it with jeans!

Which brings us to my Primark purchases.
The first thing I picked up were some of these Super Cosy black leggings. I've never actually bought or worn any before but I've only heard good things, so I decided to buy some and try them for myself :) These were £3.50.

Not very exciting but I bought some black jeans! Yaaay.
I actually really like them, as I'm just generally loving black clothing at the moment. The only problem I find with black jeans is that they attract hair..so make sure you have some sellotape ready at the end of the day to get rid of it all, if you have pets anyway!
These are soft feel jeans for £11.

Can I just start by saying, my hair is not that short! It used to be..but it's taken me the past couple of years to grow it. It must have been tucked in hahaha.
After buying my first floral top in New Look, I wanted to try and find a few more and came across this one in Primark. It actually looks better on than it does in the picture. It's quite see-through but I find in the summer this doesn't always matter, (unless its extreme!) but a white or blue coloured vest top could be worn underneath if wanted :) I cant remember the price of this one, but I think it was about £6.

I bought this orange skater dress for a bargain £5! They also did it in white which I may go back for...
A lot of people don't like orange but I personally think it's a lovely colour to wear during the summer. This dress is quite floaty around the bottom and can be worn just casually as an everyday item.

These shoes caught my eye whilst I was on my way to the till. They were only £3 and I thought they would go quite well with the orange skater dress or just with jeans. I don't own any stripy shoes, but these I just loved :)

These cushions are so CUTE. I bought the Hug one a few months ago and then this week found the Love one too! I had to buy it just so I had the matched set. I hope they make more with different words because I just love them! They are only £4 and for the price are surprisingly soft and squishy. They look so cute on my bed next to my Charlie Bears, and are just a lovely simple effect for any bed :)

This skater dress I bought in Jack Wills sale. It's so soft and thick, I actually love it. It's something I wouldn't normally pick up which is what intrigued me to try it on. I think this sort of clothing can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. The leggings were also bought from the same shop, I've taken a close up so you can see exactly what is on them...

They are covered in tiny gems! At first I wasn't too keen on them but they look a lot better on than off and compliment the dress well and are very stretchy which makes hem soo comfortable! :). They were also in the sale at £10, and dress was £27 (I think..).

I hope you enjoyed looking through my weekend-shopping purchases, and maybe even inspired you to try and buy items you wouldn't normally get! It's such a lovely feeling when you realise you suit more styles than you realised!

Thanks for reading,

Molly xox

Routine - Everyday Makeup ||

Hello, and a good afternoon, morning, or evening in whichever part of the world you are reading this in. I only say this as since checking my blog 'viewings stats' I've noticed a few people have actually read my posts (which was a shock on its own at first!) from countries such as Denmark, America and South Africa!! Amazing!! So thankyou to whoever you are and what ever country you're in, even if its the same as me in the UK, I am still very thankful :)

I am doing - or attempting - my first ever 'routine' blogpost. Mainly because I love reading other peoples and how they do their hair and makeup on a daily basis as I'm always open to trying new techniques and styles etc.
Sooo I am here just to show anybody who would like to know, how I do my makeup almost everyday of the week (unless I'm staying in all day and having a lazy day!). It's extremely simple, and embarressingly I have only recently (probably in the last 5-6 months) have actually started wearing makeup properly. I've been wearing mascara for as long as my secondary school life started, (and also I used to wear this horrible blue eyeshadow which was cool back in the day.......cringe.) but only in the past few months have I actually invested in my first concealer, foundation and makeup brushes and seeing as I'm 19 in about 3 weeks, I'd say that was pretty late! But! Theres no time like the present so here goes...

This is the spot where I normally like to sit and do my makeup...

It's my windowsill! Sounds ridiculous but the lighting in my bedroom is'nt all the great for this sort of thing so I try and use natural light as much as possible. The setup in the photo is always how I have it, as I can reach my products easily and my phone, which usually always watch a YouTube video whilst doing my makeup.

But just to contradict all of that, today I applied my makeup in the bathroom as its been snowing here in the UK and it was FREEZING sat by my window, even with it shut! And the bathroom has a radiator under the mirror, sooooooo ;)

Firstly I start off by tying up my hair, by completely taking it all off of my face. Please note I HATE my hair like this. Well I like how my hair looks, but it really doesnt compliment my facial shape in the slightest. I wish I could get away with it but I really can't (I am forever jealous of people who can scrap all their hair off of their face and still look female...I tend to look like Phil Mitchel ha.ha.haaaaa) so this is why you probably won't see my entire face in any of the photos until my hair is safely framing it again.

Next, I start off by curling my eyelashes. This might seem a weird place to start but I will explain nearer the end why I tend to start with this :)

This is the FREAKIEST photo of me ever, ew scroll on past

And of course once the eyelashes are curled, mascara is applied. I am currently using Rimmel London Wonder'full mascara. I bought in back in August to take on holiday with me, and it's lastest ever since! It makes my eyelashes look very full and works very well with curlers (as some mascaras just come off onto the curlers and you'll left with nothing on your lashes, but this one is perfect!). Not that I have a problem with this mascara but once it is finished I am going to try a new one, just because I love experimenting with my eyelashes as (without sounding vain, because I am not in anyway!) they are quite long and I have recieved compliments on them before, so trying out new mascaras helps me to make my lashes look their best! (Has anyone tried the 'Better than Sex' mascara that Zoe Sugg mentions? I'd love to hear if anyone else has tried it as that might be my next one...)

Once my lashes are done I start to move onto my skin. Before I started this post, this morning after I had showered I moisturised my face using the 'Zoella body cream' (just to note, I don't just use and buy this product because of who it's made by. I actually love the texture of the cream and it just makes my skin feel so soft and hydrated after applying. Before buying it I also did the 'smell test' because I didn't want to purchase it and then decide when I got it home that it smells horrible - the smell is actually amazingly fresh and sweet!) I also have a fruity body cream that I sometimes use on my face, it just depends on what sort of smell I'd like, or which one is closer at the time of me moiturising!

I start of with the concealer 'Rimmel London Wake Me Up' in the shade Ivory.
(See previous 'Reviews' blogpost where I haver reviewed this product along with the foundation, mascara and brushes used in this post).
This is applied on any blemishes or areas of my face which I am not happy with, e.g. spots, red marks, bruises etc.
It covered very well and the colour is very natural - which is what I love about it the best! It's also extremely easy to apply and gives an even coverage.

These are the areas of my face I usually like to cover on a daily basis..

I thought I'd have to be brave and let you see at least some of my face! Sorry for the weair facial expression.

My chin is prone to blemishes and marks such as spots that were squeezed weeks ago, and general red marks, Around the edge of my nose also is just naturally red which I think is a thing a lot of people get, as the skin is much more greasy around those areas. The end of my nose gets a lot of black heads so concealer helps me to give them a first layer of coverage as foundation wouldn't be enough on its own.
Once all the concealer has been applied to the areas needed I blend it all in using a Real Techniques foundation brush.

The handle is so dirty! Whoops.
These brushes are just amazing. I can't even start to descirbe how much I love it.  I only have this one but have my eye on the new edition ones that have recently been released. They are BEAUTIFUL. Heres a link if you want to see for yourself...

http://www.realtechniques.com/shop-collection

They feel so soft on your skin!
Neeeeexxxxxxt up.
Foundation.
My current (and only one I've ever used) is the 'Rimmel London Wake Me Up' in the shade Ivory.

I have a very weird way of applying this, so let me know if you have a better way! I quirt a small amount onto my hand, like soooo...

And then use my other hand to apply it onto the areas of my skin where I want it to be, e.g. nose, cheeks, forehead, chin etc. I find this way I do not get too much onto my skin which can then make me look orange or just unnatural. Applying the foundation straight onto the brush also in my eyes doesnt give an even coverage as the first area you touch will get the most. Maybe I'm wrong but I find this way the easiest to get a good coverage and the correct amount for my face, (which is different for everyone). Also if I have put too much onto my hand it can easily just be washed away without it having to be taken off my actual face.

I look like such a child with my hair all off my face hahaah

This is also blended in the same way as the concealer, with the Real Techniques foundation brush. I would like to get a seperate one for concealer than is slightly smaller, just to make the blending part a bit easier.

I also apply a small amount underneath my eyebrows...

I use the same brush once again to blend this is and then use a smaller Barry M concealer brush to ensure it is completely blended. It seems a weird place to apply foundation but in the past I have not applied it and then noticed half way through the day that between my eyebrows and eyelids is actually paler than the rest of my skin, so this is how I overcame that :)

Once the foundation as been completely and evenly blended onto my face, I re-curl my eyelashes. I start off with curling them at the beginning as this gives the mascara time to dry whilst I apply my concealer and foundation. This means they can then be re-curled at the end just to give them a finishing touch and make sure they are properly curled.
I find trying to curl eyelashes on freshly applied mascara that is wet just makes them stick to the curlers and then the lashed all clump together and look awful.

This gets my lashes looking a lot more like this!

The last thing of my makeup routine is to add a bit of shine or colour to my lips. At the moment I've been loving these...

From left to right, the orange one has a pinky shade to it which helps just to finish off an everyday natural look, especially when if you're pale like me :(
The middle purple one has a peachy colour to it which I actually LOVE so much! It just gives your lips a natural skin-shade colour,
And the yellow one is colourless and just gives you a healthy shine :)

Today I decided to wear the pinky shaded one.

And that is my everyday makeup routine over!
Overall on average it usually takes me about 10 minutes but can be done in less if I'm in a rush!

I hope you've enjoyed reading and like this sort of post. Please feel free to comment if you have any questions or even to tell me what sorts of products you like to wear for an everyday natural look.

2015 || All over the place

It's weird.
I haven't blogged in ages - due to being so so busy at work and suffering annoyingly with zero inspiration -  and I've actually missed it to much. Everywhere I go and everything I do I'm looking for something to share with blogspot and the very few people that read my blog, so I hope this isn't too bland or boring, but I'm literally going to just fill it with random goings-on. Let me know if you like reading the following sort of stuff.

Anyway Happy New Year! I hope every  had a more exciting new year than I did and celebrated the start of 2015 with happiness :)

Not much has really happened in my life to blog about as the last couple of weeks had been pretty boring and I've spent 99% of the time at the restaurant where I work.

For Christmas I got a smoothie maker, and it's turned out to be one of the most best things ever! It's so nice to be able to make homemade fruity drinks which are healthy at the same time. At the moment I've been using a bag of frozen mixed berries and raspberry/cranberry juice to make a smoothie and it's such a refreshing taste, and I love that I can try out different flavours and make them seasonally - I'm really excited to try out a mango and pineapple one nearer summertime:)

Today I bought a magazine I've never bought before. It's called 'GoodHomes' and is packed full of interior decorating design ideas and gives you lots of detail and inspiration for redesigning rooms. Interior design is something I am extremely interested in so I thought I'd give the magazine a try and am SO glad I did! My most favourite thing about it is that it includes items that cover all price ranges so some are extremely expensive whilst others are cheap and affordable. Most magazine like this are full of amazing furniture and pretty things that you instantly fall in love with and then almost cry when you see the price, so I breathed a big sigh of relief when I saw most of the products I liked were in fact affordable and in a decent price range.
Also each item is listed with where you can buy it and all general information you need to know about it along with some notes from people who own it and the best way to display it etc. I'm literally in love with this magazine and cannot put it down!

Meet Jumble. He's a Charlie Bear and my most FAVOURITE Christmas present ever! I've wanted him for absolutely ages and have even been tempted to buy him in a shop until my boyfriend steered me away (which I soon found out was because he had bought me him for Christmas..). I love Charlie Bears and Jumble is my second one. For anybody that doesn't know, these type of bears are collectible and each one with their own name and style and unique item around their neck, (Jumble has a lovely purply/brown bow with a heart pendant) and each bear has its own shape, size and style. I love them!! I wish I could have them all but they can be quite pricey:( I'll leave links below to the two bears I own so you can browse through the website of you like :) and maybe even give a bear a home - you won't be disappointed believe me! (If you like that sort of thing anyway..)

On the subject of bears, I got this dressing gown also for Christmas,

And it's the most snuggly thing ever! The material is so thick and soft, I live in it whilst I'm at home! Does anyone else think that white dressing gowns are just the best..especially when they have bear ears..

Finally for today my Barry M concealer pen ran out (panic panic!!!!) on one very inconvient morning when I had woken up with a few 'under the skin spots' - aka the WORST type of spot - and I was spending the day out with my boyfriend, so I had to make do with just foundation. Whilst out for the day I found a Superdrug (it was a sight of pure beauty at the time!) and my usual concealer wasn't in stock - boo.
So Instead I thought I'd try the concealer which matches my foundation (Rimmel Wake Me Up in the shade Ivory) and for the week and a bit I've been using it, it's amaaazzzing! I think I might even like t more than my usual. It's very easy to apply and gives an even coverage in the areas you apply it to.

The applicator lid and 'tube' it's in matches the foundation also which I like. As I find it kind of satisfying when you open a makeup bag and find it all has a style to it, is that weird?

That's all for now.
I apologise that this post was a bit all over the place and didn't really have a subject, but at the start of a new year, I really don't know if enough has happened to blog about :(

Thanks for reading and don't forget to comment below if you like, as I love reading and responding :)
