Product review ||

Hello everybody!
I'm awake and blogging at 1am, as you do.
I just caught up on my YouTube videos and went in the bathroom to do my normal everyday 'before bed routine' and suddenly realised I hadn't shared my new finds with the world! And I have a day off work tomorrow so I thought - why not! Lets just write it now :) and who knows! Maybe some of my readers are also awake at this time..or it might even be the afternoon or morning depending on which part of the world you are in! Let me know what time in the comments, I find all that time-difference stuff so interesting but so weird! Half of us are going to bed (or blogging in my case) and the other half are just getting up - crazy crazy world.

Back to the point.
My local town has a small Boots which sells just a few everyday things you might need - not a huge variety, but it does the trick if you just need new makeup or bath products etc, so I popped in the other day whilst in town with my mum and firstly picked up a new mascara (finally!!! I've been using my other one since August!) and decided to go with the Bourjois Everyday Clubbing which turned out to be the best mascara I've ever used!! I love it so much I can't imagine  ever using anything else! It gives my lashes so much volume and makes them twice as long! It also works really well with eyelash curlers which is always a bonus :) here's what it looks like incase you want to find one for yourself (I highly recommend - trust me)

And here's how it makes my lashes look...

I also decided to try a new foundation. As much as I love Rimmel London Wake Me Up I do find it to sometimes be quite heavy and feel very thick on my face which Isent always the niciest. Especially if you have an indoor job like me and you don't really have any access to fresh outdoor air for 8-10 hours each day!
So I went with instead the Rimmel London Match Perfection in the shade Ivory.

It's gives such a nicier feel and texture on my skin. And I'm so glad I made the change to this one. When pumping it out onto my hand it feels a lot lighter and kind of 'watery' but not in a bad way! I don't think it covers as well as the Wake Me Up but personally I prefer it 100%!
Although the shade is the same 'Ivory' in both foundations, the Match Perfection is a much better suit for my skin as its lighter and gives a more natural feel.
I recommend this for sure!

Lastly I wanted a skin care that I could use on my face every night after taking off my makeup, just to give my face a clean feel when going to bed and help remove grease and dirt from the pores in my skin, (especially as I work in a restaurant, so the atmosphere is full of the grease from the kitchen etc).
And it was actually my Mum that came across this one...

At first I was a bit worried as its a Boots own brand and it was only about £2.99 a bottle, but I decided to give it a go after reading the back and checking all the ingredients etc, (I also don't use any products tested on animals so I check for this also when buying new products - especially own brands).
I've been using it for about four days now  every night after my makeup has been taken off and I'm actually very impressed! It gives my face a lovely clean and soft feeling after use and it's very easy to put on and take off again, (I use a wet flannel to first dampen the skin and then rub a small amount all over my skin - avoiding the eyes and mouth areas - and then use the same flannel to remove it all afterwards. I usually splash water on my face as well just to make sure it's all gone). It takes only a couple minutes for the whole procedure to be done as you don't have to wait for the lotion to sink in or anything. I'm going to carry on using this and will most likely carry on buying it in the future! I also own a Garnier face scrub which has exphloiating beads in it so I only tend to use that once or twice a week but to be honest, this Boots SkinCkear gives exactly the same after-feel as the branded one!

One thing I will say is that a couple of times I have used this on my skin and it has given a slightly stinging effect on my face. The first time was after I had spent an eight hour shift at work being trained in the kitchen which is an extremely greasy environment and the second time was after a very busy shift at work where I'd got hot running around all day, so I'm assuming it's the lotion working harder on the pores and it may depend on how clogged up they are! (Hate the word 'clogged' so much - bluergh!)

Here's the back of the bottle so you can check the ingredients for your own reasons...

I hope this post has been helpful to you in some way! And just trust me.. That mascara is amazing! ;)

Feel free to leave any comments.
