Apologies & May Favourites ||

Hello everyone!

Firstly...

I'm soooooooooo sorry I've been away for so long :( It's starting to become a bit of a tradition for me to start my blogs applogising for the huge gap between this post and the last one, BUT today you lucky little bloggers, I am back. ;)

I've never done a favourites post before, but I have so many things I love at the moment, that it seems only right to share them with the world.
(Make sure you tell me below in the little comments section if you use any of the same products!)

The first thing I have been LOVING is a Bourjois Rouge Edition lipstick in the shade '39 Pretty in Nude'

It's in some ways my complete life saver! Before I bought this I would do my makeup and just use lip balm to give my lips a bit of a shine, but after a while it would get absorbed or rubbed off and leave my lips looking pale and just awful! So I did a bit of a search in Boots, and not really knowing anything about lipsticks and choosing the correct shades etc, I literally just took a chance and decided upon this one, (and left the shop with a multi-coloured hand from all the samples...) for me the shade is perfect, and gives my lips a completely natural look but also a bit of colour just to help finish off my everyday natural makeup routine and it lasts such a long time without rubbing off or absorbing, I've actually become so dependant on it that I panic if I can't find it! So have started carrying it around in my pocket wherever I go. I would recommend this 100% to anyone looking for an affordable natural coloured lipstick. They also did it in many other natural shades, depending on your skin colour etc.

Secondly I've been loving these teenie tiny Real Techniques makeup brushes. They are SO cute and lovely on my skin. They are supposed to be used for travelling as they fit snuggly in your makeup bag without taking up any large amount of room, but I find they are perfect to use just for everyday makeup.

The first brush is a Mini Face Brush that I use at the very end of my makeup routine (after using my large Real Techniques foundation brush to apply my foundation properly) just to give the look a once over and get rid of any brush marks. As the brush is so soft, it doesn't leave any sort of unnatural marks after use and as its small it fits in all the little nooks and crannys on your face such as around your nose and eyes.
The second brush is a Mini Foundation Brush, which I personally use to help blend around my eyes. The brush is much more course than the foundation brush and the shape of it means you can kind of flick it when using it to help get rid of marks and reach smaller places on your skin by using the pointed end to get in the corner of your eyes to blend the foundation onto your eyelids before applying eyeshadow. I find it great for wiping off any mascara that smudges onto your eyelids when applying mascara quickly. Thats probably the worst description of how to use a brush ever written but its so hard to explain! I think I use these brushes all wrong and make it all up as I go along but it works for me!

The last brush is a Mini Blending Brush which I use to blend in my eyeshadow pencil. The brush is SO tiny (and cute) that it fits perfectly on your eyelids without sticking into your eye or leaving any marks on the foundation/concealor around your eyes.

This brings us lovely to a product I've only just started using. I went for a little shopping trip on my own and knew that I really wanted to get something to give my eyelids a bit of colour. I found this little eyeshadow crayon in Superdrug..

Its made by the same manufacturer as my lipstick Bourjois and is in the shade 'Beige Minimaliste' I chose the shade by just using the tester to put a little sample on the back of my hand, just to see whether it complimented my skin or not. After a looooong time and many testers later I decided on this colour. It slight and has a slight sparkle to it and suits the other makeup products I wear everyday. Its very easy to apply as you literally just colour in your eyelid like you would a crayon on paper! (Only a lot lighter...). I use my Mini Real Techniques Blending Brush to brush this eyeshadow into the creases of my eyes and make sure they both look even.

This next item is loveeeely.

Usually on a daily basis I use Ghost Eclipse as my perfume, but for me its a wintery scent so when shopping I started to look for a more summery scent that would remind me of the beach, holidays and the sunshine. I found this little lovely on the shelves in Boots. It was amung lots of other Ted Baker products and scents. At first I sprayed this one and didn't like it but after a while of it being on my skin and the perfume wasent so strong I actually started to like it and ended up just buying it! I always find that when perfume shopping you should never judge the scent by the first spray, as its so strong that it over-powers you and then doesnt actually smell like it should..does that make sense?
It doesnt have a proper name, but if you're ever passing a Boots, look for the Ted Baker section and its the green bottle! But...spray and leave it on your skin for a while before sniffing ;) and for Ted Baker..its actually a great price!

If you follow me on Twitter (@mloggee) you'll know that about a month or so ago I re-decorated my bedroom and went from a feature purple to a pastel green theme with light-accessories. So naturally I took a trip to Ikea and bought a few bits and bobs to go with my new style, and one of my favourite things I bought are these...

I bought two to keep all my hair brushes and larger makeup products in on my desk. They are supposed to be plant pots, but I think they work well as they are! I almost bought them in white, but then saw them in this lovely pastel green that actually matches my green walls perfectly! They were obviously meant to be! ;) I love them so much though. They look cute and dainty, and are big and sturdy enough to hold lots of bigger products e.g. hair brushes, moisturiers, creams and perfuem bottles.

Recently I went to see One Direction and McBusted live in Cardiff and all along the streets on the way in to the stadium were people selling flower crowns. Everyone was wearing them and they all looked so pretty on the heads of hundreds of people all stood in a huge crowd that me and my sister wanted to get in on the trend and bought one each!

I chose this cute little white and green one with a long leafy bit that hangs down the back of your hair. I wore it all evening dancing around to the music and it never fell off once! (Thats even without clips!) I literally just plonked it on my head infront of the over-crowded mirrors in the toilets of the stadium, arranged it so it looked nice and pushed it down a bit, and it stayed on all night :) I may take it on holiday with me and wear it around just to add a bit of prettyness to my outfits.

Some people like to change their shampoos and conditioners all the time, and I never know whether changing it or sticking to the same ones is better? Anyway I'm the sort to stick to the same make and type. I often get compliments on how shiny and clean ym hair always looks (even on the days I don't wash it) soooo these are my secret..

Originally I used to use Pantene Repair & Protect shampoo and conditioner but I went into to Tescos once to buy a new bottle and they only had the shampoo version so I had to buy a different type of conditioner...and never looked back! I still use the Repair & Protect shampoo, but now mix it with the Smooth & Silk Conditioner so I'm getting the best fo both worlds. My hair is beign repaired and protected and also being made smooth and sleek..I'm a genius really ;) My hair is EXTREMELY thick and needs a lot of maintaince and these do that lovely when I wash my hair. You don't need a lot either which means the products last longer, and for the size of the bottle they are quite cheap! And are ALWAYS on offer in Tescos, so thats even better!

Aaaaaaaaaand lastly for my May Favourites is THE BEST food product I've possibly ever eaten..

I don't have my own photo because I've eaten them all...but Mum bought these as they are on offer in Tescos and O h m y g o d they are AMAZING! They come in little bags inside..which is probably for the best as otherwise I would probably eat all of them otherwise. Just buy and try these...you won't be dissapointed.

Thats all for this months favourites!
I hope you enjoyeeedddd.
And arn't too mad at me for never blogging :( But I'm always tweeting so make sure you follow me. Oh and I'm obsessed with Instagram so follow me there too :) (see below)

Trying American Candy! ||

Helllooooo everyone!
How have you all been?
Once again its long time no blogging, I really want to try and start doing a weekly blog on the same day kind of thing, but I work random hours and shifts so I never know when I'm going to be home one week to the next :(
So sorry for being a slacky blogger, I do have the blogger app on my phone though so I'll try and blog on the go and update you all, if thats the sort of thing you'd like to read :) Let me know below any how.

Soo, I kind of jumped on the band-wagon with this one and decided to do the thing EVERYONE is doing and try some American candy (or sweets if you're from the UK). I wasent actually planning on doing this, but I came across a shop whilst away for the weekend at my nans and that sold American foods and I couldn't help but buy some and then thought I might as well blog it also! I think in a way this sort of thing is better on a YouTube video, but as I'm awkward as anything infront of a camera, I think its better for me to stay sat behind the screen, instead of actually on it.

I don't really know much about American sweets and whats good and whats not, I've heard of a few popular ones like Cheetos and Twinkies (which I DIDN'T buy in the shop as they wanted £6 for a box of Twinkies..£6!!!) so I kind of went in with an open mind and just bought what I thought looked nice.
I didn't buy loads, as it was all fairly expensive as I assume its imported over to the UK from America, but I couldn't help trying a few!

One of the first packets that caught my eye were these...

SALTED CARAMEL PRETZELS! I love salted caramel so much I just had to buy them no matter how much they wanted for them!
They smelt and looked so delicious and were the first thing I tried out of all the sweets just because they sounded so nice. The pieces of pretzel inside were all different sizes, so I started with huge pieces and was left with tiny little teenie bits, but it was all just as nice. They tasted amazing, but kind of different to English Salted Caramel. I can't really explain what I mean unless you have tried both, but it was interesting how the same thing can taste different in different countries! I want more of these so bad and have been craving them every since the moment I finished the bag, so if anyone knows of any online American candy shops that ship to the UK let me know!! I'll love you forever....

Next up I tried Lucky Charms the breakfast cereal.
Now personally I am not a cereal fan at all and never eat it. Or if I do, I don't put milk on it, but I couldn't go buying American food without at least trying Lucky Charms!
They sold a full box for £5 but I decided to buy a smaller tub for £2 just incase I didn't like it.

My first thought on trying it was how sweet it was! I can't believe anyone could eat that first thing in the morning! Its more like a dessert! The little coloured pieces were nice (but sweet!) but the cereal parts to me tasted like Cheerios which is a cereal we have in the UK, so all in all I was kind of dissapointed but then I don't like cereal so I wasent expecting too much. But if you're a cereal fan and have a sweet tooth, then these would be perfect :)

I've heard a lot about Hershey's chocolate and its all been good, so I decided to pick up a bar of 'Cookies 'n' Creme' as any chocolate I've had this flavour in the UK has been amazing, so I wanted to see what the American version was like.

And I wasent dissapointed at all! It was SO NICE! I need more of it so bad! It wasent anything overally special, and was quite similiar to chocolate I've had before but there was just something about it that I loved. It was kind of crispy in side as well which I'm guessing is the cookies side of it, but wooowww if I could buy this at my local shop like you can in America, I would be extremely fat!

Cheetos is an American item that I think possibly EVERYONE in the UK wants to try. It's just one of those things that you always hear about and just want to see what they taste like.
I bought a small bag (even though they sold HUGE ones) and once I'd left the shop I realised they were out of date :( what kind of shop sells out of date food anyway?!
So after asking the lovely people of America on Twitter if they would be okay to eat six days out of date and you all ensured me it would be fine, I just decided to eat them anyway..

Have any of you ever heard if Nick Nacks? Or Wotsits? Because to me, these Cheetos tasted like those two mixed together. So in the shape of Nick Nacks but tasted like wotsits..

Maybe its because they were out of date :(

I bought these to add something a bit more 'sweet like' to my collection and they were not what I expceted at all! I thought they were going to be more hard and you'd have to suck them or something, but they were actually quite soft and you could just bite straight into them and eat them! They taste sooo fruity though - I think they'd be nice in the summer :) Although..I didn't like the orange ones :(

Thats all the candy I tried! I've been switching using the word candy and sweets all through this which is kind of annoying, but at least it covers both English and American ;)

I hope this is the sort of thing you like to read, and if you want me to try and different candy from other countries or more from America, then let me know! :)

Thanks for reading once again, and thankyou for all the support on my blog.
